Como Ruin

We transformed an existing stone house into a holiday house with incredible views of Lake Como. Inserted in a sloping plot and spread over 3 levels, the house features a mix of traditional and contemporary design elements. The main entrance is partially underground and constructed with a hybrid stone and concrete structure.

The top floor has a timber structure and boasts a spacious kitchen/living room with stunning lake/mountain views from all directions. We reworked traditional details to create a clean, neutral aesthetic that respects the house's character while blending seamlessly with the local tradition.
